Hammock: The Aruba Juniper is woven from EllTex, Amazonas's weatherproof fibre — water repellent and UV resistant, so it copes with being left out through a British summer far better than a cotton hammock. It will still last longer if brought in during sustained wet spells or over winter.

Washing: Hand wash only in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or bleach. Dry fully before folding into the carry bag — even weatherproof fabric will develop musty odours if packed away damp.

Stand: The Kronos stand is laminated spruce wood, treated for outdoor use. Wipe down with a soft, damp cloth as needed — avoid pressure washers and harsh detergents. Check annually and apply a clear exterior wood preservative or protective oil if the surface begins to look dry or faded.

Positioning: Always place the stand on firm, level ground. Avoid leaving the stand feet in standing water or on permanently damp ground, as prolonged ground moisture shortens the life of any timber stand.

Before each use: Check the suspension ropes, hooks, spreader bar, and stand bolts are secure and show no signs of fraying or wear. Observe the 180kg hammock load limit — note the stand is rated to 120kg, so that is the effective limit for the set.

Winter care: Store the hammock indoors over winter. Where possible, move the stand under cover or use a breathable furniture cover during extended wet or cold periods.
