These protections are designed to shield the hand-built pallet wood from the elements, but they only apply to bars purchased with one of their professional colored finishes; if you opt for a bare, "Natural" wood finish, you are expected to seal and protect the timber yourself to keep it weatherproof

Care & Maintenance

Wood care: The pressure-treated timber is protected against rot and insects from the start. Brush off debris and wipe the counter down after use — avoid pressure washers and harsh detergents.

Re-treatment: Pressure treatment weathers gradually. Apply an exterior wood preservative or protective oil every one to two years to maintain the protection and the appearance of the timber.

Positioning: Keep the bar on firm, level ground and avoid leaving the base in standing water — even treated timber lasts longer with its feet dry.

Winter care: Use a breathable furniture cover during extended wet or cold periods, or move the bar under cover if practical. Ensure the counter is dry before covering.
