FAQS

Are these pergolas waterproof?

They are rain-resistant rather than fully waterproof. The powder-coated galvanised roof tilts or fully closes to shelter you from light to moderate rain, and closed louvres channel water through an integrated drainage system down through the legs. In heavy or prolonged rain a small amount may enter through the joins — normal for louvred systems, which are built for ventilation and durability rather than complete watertightness.

What is the split roof?

The manual louvred roof is split into two independently controlled sides. Open one side for sunlight while keeping the other closed for shade or ventilation — letting you adapt the space through the day.

How does the 4x3m differ from the 3x3m?

Footprint only. The 4 x 3m gives generous coverage for dining and larger seating areas, while the 3 x 3m suits patios and smaller gardens. Both share the same aluminium frame, galvanised split louvred roof, and button-controlled solar lighting. Both are in our Garden Shade & Shelter collection.

Is assembly required?

Yes — this pergola requires assembly. Privacy screens are not included as standard but are available as selectable variants (0 to 4 screens).

What if my order arrives damaged?

Care & Maintenance

The powder-coated aluminium frame and galvanised steel louvres are built for year-round outdoor use and need only simple seasonal care.

Frame and louvres: Wipe down with a soft cloth and mild soapy water — avoid abrasive cleaners, wire brushes, and pressure washers, which can damage the powder-coat and galvanised finish. Rinse and allow to dry.

Drainage: Keep the integrated drainage channels and louvre joins clear of leaves and debris so water can flow away freely. Clear them at the start of each season and after heavy leaf fall in autumn.

Louvres: Operate each side of the split roof gently through its full range once a season to keep the mechanism smooth. Open the louvres in very high winds to reduce load on the roof.

Lighting: The solar LED system is low-maintenance — keep the solar panel surface clean so it charges efficiently.

General: Check all fixings are secure at the start of each season and after any storm.
