The Shire Playhut is a great-value children's playhouse that packs a lot of fun into a compact footprint. Made in the UK, it's an ideal first playhouse where space is limited — or a handy second den for the grandparents' garden. With its own opening window and single door, it gives younger children a proper little space of their own to play in all year round.
Built from high-grade FSC-certified 12mm shiplap timber over sturdy 34mm framing, with an OSB roof and tongue-and-groove floor. The Playhut carries the CE mark and complies with BS EN 71, the toy safety standard, with acrylic (styrene) safety glazing rather than glass. It arrives dip-treated with a base-coat preservative, ready for top-coating in your choice of colour, and all fixings, roof felt and assembly instructions are included.

Every building comes with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty as standard, plus a conditional 10-year anti-rot guarantee against timber decay and insect attack. Buildings arrive pre-treated with a water-based coat for transit only; to keep the anti-rot cover valid, apply a high-quality spirit-based timber preservative shortly after installation and re-treat annually.
