Details

Some corners of a garden just need a little definition — somewhere to screen off from the neighbours, break up an open patio, or give a balcony a sense of enclosure. This metal privacy screen does the job with a decorative geometric pattern and a built-in planter at the base, so it divides the space and softens it at the same time. Standing 180cm tall, it creates genuine privacy while the cut-out pattern keeps things feeling open rather than boxed-in, and removable wheels let you reposition it or fix it in place for good.

FAQs

How much privacy does it actually give?

At 180cm tall it stands well above head height for most people, so it screens sightlines effectively when seated or standing. The geometric pattern is decorative rather than solid, so it's designed to obscure and define a space while still letting light and air through — think elegant division rather than a complete blackout wall. Line a few up together for a longer run of screening.

Can I really plant in the base?

Yes — the integrated planter box is a genuine feature, not just decorative. Trailing plants, grasses, or seasonal flowers all work well and soften the metalwork beautifully. We'd suggest adding some drainage material at the bottom and being mindful that a planted, watered box adds weight, which actually helps with stability.

What's the difference between the finishes?

Black and Anthracite Grey are powder-coated for a crisp, contemporary look that suits modern gardens and clean-lined spaces. The Rust finish is a naturally weathered patina — warmer and more rustic, and a lovely match if you already have Corten or weathered-steel pieces in the garden.

Will it blow over in the wind?

The geometric cut-outs let wind pass through rather than catching it like a solid panel, which helps. For exposed or windy spots we'd recommend fixing it in place using the included fixings rather than relying on the wheels alone, and a planted base box adds welcome ballast.

Is the Rust finish going to stain my patio?

A weathered-steel finish can shed a little rust runoff, particularly early on and in wet weather. If you're placing the Rust version on light or porous paving, it's worth bearing that in mind — gravel, grass, or darker stone are more forgiving. The Black and Grey powder-coated finishes don't have this consideration.

Care & Maintenance

Black and Anthracite Grey are powder-coated — simply wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soapy water as needed; avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the coating. The Rust finish is a naturally weathered patina and needs no treatment, though it can shed a little rust runoff, especially early on and in wet weather, so keep it off pale or porous paving. Empty and refresh the planter box seasonally, and add drainage material at the base to stop waterlogging. For exposed spots, fix the screen in place with the included fixings rather than relying on the wheels alone.
