Shire is one of the UK's leading garden building manufacturers, crafting timber sheds, summerhouses, log cabins, playhouses and workshops in Britain since 1981 from its factories in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, using slow-grown timber from sustainable plantations. Every building comes with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty as standard, plus a conditional 10-year anti-rot guarantee against timber decay and insect attack. Buildings arrive pre-treated with a water-based coat for transit only; to keep the anti-rot cover valid, apply a high-quality spirit-based timber preservative shortly after installation and re-treat annually.
