Care & Maintenance

Canopy

Clean twice a year — at the start and end of the season. Use warm soapy water with a soft brush or sponge, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before closing or storing. Spot clean as needed. For stubborn marks, use a firmer brush. If mould spots appear, use HG Mould Remover, rinse well and leave to dry.

Wooden Pole

Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use a pressure washer as this can damage the wood. Apply teak or linseed oil periodically to maintain the finish.

Moving Parts

Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the pulley or crank mechanism occasionally to keep it running smoothly.
Wind & Weather
Always close the parasol during strong winds, storms, or when left unattended overnight.

Winter Storage

Clean thoroughly and ensure the parasol is completely dry before storing. Keep in a cool, dry place such as a shed or garage, ideally with a protective cover. Avoid storing near a heat source as this can cause the wood to crack.
