Does this come with a guarantee?

Bars at Home provides a dual-layer warranty focused on weather protection, offering a 10-year guarantee specifically on their colored, stained finishes alongside a 5-year anti-rot guarantee for the timber itself. These protections are designed to shield the hand-built pallet wood from the elements, but they only apply to bars purchased with one of their professional colored finishes; if you opt for a bare, "Natural" wood finish, you are expected to seal and protect the timber yourself to keep it weatherproof

Care & Maintenance

Wood care: Rough-sawn pallet timber has an open surface that benefits from protection. Apply an exterior wood preservative, oil, or stain within the first season and then annually — this is the single best thing you can do for the bar's lifespan and appearance.

Counter care: Wipe spills off the countertop promptly — rough-sawn timber absorbs liquid more readily than planed wood. A coat of clear exterior varnish or oil on the counter makes it far easier to wipe clean.

Positioning: Keep the bar on firm, level ground and out of standing water.

Winter care: Use a breathable furniture cover during extended wet or cold periods, or move the bar under cover. Ensure the timber is dry before covering — sealed plastic covers trap condensation.
