# Shire Playhut 4x4 Playhouse

The Shire Playhut is a great-value children's playhouse that packs a lot of fun into a compact footprint. Made in the UK, it's an ideal first playhouse where space is limited — or a handy second den for the grandparents' garden. With its own opening window and single door, it gives younger children a proper little space of their own to play in all year round.

Built from high-grade FSC-certified 12mm shiplap timber over sturdy 34mm framing, with an OSB roof and tongue-and-groove floor. The Playhut carries the CE mark and complies with BS EN 71, the toy safety standard, with acrylic (styrene) safety glazing rather than glass. It arrives dip-treated with a base-coat preservative, ready for top-coating in your choice of colour, and all fixings, roof felt and assembly instructions are included.

Your playhouse needs a firm, level base — concrete, paving slabs or a timber frame — as grass, soil or gravel will shift under the weight. Timber is natural; we recommend top-coating on arrival and periodically after to protect it.
